I have been a Georgia high school science teacher and coach for 16 years and this will be my 10th year teaching and coaching at South Forsyth High. I have two daughters, Natalie who is a junior at South Forsyth High and Valerie who is a 7th grader at Lakeside Middle. I enjoy spending my free time exercising, working out, and playing tennis and other sports with my family. This will be my first year as a flag football coach and I’m looking forward to a great season!
I graduated from Georgia College and State University with a degree in Exercise Science and Master of Arts in Teaching in Kinesiology/Physical Education. During my time at Georgia College, I participated in all types of intramurals, one in particular flag football. I was a part of the 2015 State Championship team who continued on to Nationals at the University of West Florida. I was also a part of the state runner up team in 2017 for the Georgia Peach Classic and was awarded All-State Player that year. I then went on to coach flag at Riverwood High School where we competed in the final four in 2021. I have coached both on the defensive and offensive sides of the ball and have loved every minute of being able to play the sport and coach this growing sport for girls in the state of Georgia. I am even more excited now to be a part of South teaching Physical Education and coaching both flag and soccer! Go War Eagles!
